Norwescap Career & Life Transitions Center
The Leaf Lady Run was created by Norwescap Career & Life Transitions Center with an inaugural run in 2003. It was created to support the funding needed to run the center and continue the valuable work that the CLTC does for the community.
Norwescap CLTC provides individuals in transition with the personal and economic self-sufficiency needed to reach their full potential. Through education, training, job readiness, community referrals, and supportive services the CLTC has been creating economic independence for over 3 decades, all for FREE to qualifying candidates.Those who have lost their primary means of financial support due to separation, divorce, domestic violence or the death, deployment or unemployment of a spouse or partner are the clients we serve. In addition to losing income of another family member, we support someone emotionally separating from abuse and in need of support before safely leaving the home, and those who's alimony or public assistance will be ending, as well as women over the age of 40.
Norwescap CLTC provides a safe place during transition and offers the support needed to succeed. We develop individual plans and assist individuals to move forward during their changing times. This may include addressing immediate basic needs such as housing or food ad go all the way up to those long-term dreams, exploring that career one always wanted but life just got too busy to pursue it.

GRANTS & FUNDING
Qualifying candidates of the Norwescap CLTC receive educational grants to acquire the certificates and degrees that advance them in their career endeavors. Members work with the Career Adviser one-on-one to define career goals and educational requirements and work with the Case Manager to secure different education loans.
Throughout the year, in each of the 3 counties we serve, we offer our unique Empowerment program. A Certified Life Coach walks clients through this course creating a foundation to build up the sturdy & resilient employment path. We teach techniques to erode self-doubt, fear, stress, & ineffectual habits, and strategies to BUILD UP a positive self-concept. This activates & opens the doors of possibility as one progresses towards economic independence.
Our workshops and development courses include: a 50 hour Computer Basics program, Empowerment, Financial/ Budgeting workshops, Internet Job Search, LinkedIn and Self-care workshops all strive to build self-esteem, skills and self-sufficiency.
